Our services are simple and include readings from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. We pray together silently and say the Lord’s Prayer.

Sunday Services

Sunday services are open to everybody, and this church is friendly and welcoming. You do not need to be familiar with Christian Science before attending. Please browse this page to see what goes on in a service and visit us in our new building at 11 St. Chad’s Street if it interests you. Services are a peaceful place for all to listen to scriptural teachings, pray and be inspired. Service times are as follows:

Sunday 10:30am (childcare available)
Sunday School 10:30am

Lesson Sermon

The following explanatory note is read by the First Reader at each Sunday Service:

“The Bible and the Christian Science textbook are our only preachers. We shall now read Scriptural texts, and their correlative passages from our denominational textbook; these comprise our sermon.

The canonical writings, together with the word of our textbook, corroborating and explaining the Bible texts in their spiritual import and application to all ages, past, present, and future, constitute a sermon undivorced from truth, uncontaminated and unfettered by human hypotheses, and divinely authorized.”

Music

Music in the services consists of hymns and solos accompanied by organ or keyboard.
